Ultima L-Glutamine workout cocktail
As an active fitness instructor, I promote using electrolytes in water to help replenish some of the minerals and elements necessary for optimal performance and recovery. I have tried dozens of brands and my favorite is Ultima. I recommend that people drink enough fluids to offset what is lost during activity, but not all people recognize the benefits of adding electrolytes to those fluids. The use of electrolytes allows for proper function of the digestive, nervous, cardiac, and muscular systems. Like any supplement, recommendations exist for the proper levels of electrolyte consumption, but in my experience, the best way to implement a supplementation routine is through experimentation and testing, eventually arriving at the levels that offer the best results for each individual.
Along with my electrolytes, I include five grams of L-Glutamine to my workout cocktail for several reasons. It helps with athletic performance, recovery, cramping, and muscle wasting. It improves intestinal issues, such as leaky gut, and is used to heal ulcers. It is also a neurotransmitter in the brain and aids both memory and concentration. I found that my muscles get less sore and my recovery time is minimized with the use of L-Glutamine. Adding these two important supplements to my fluid replacement regime made a huge difference in my performance, soreness, and overall state of wellness.
