I am a resident of Spokane, WA where I just recently married my best friend. While I am now living in Spokane I grew up in Hood River, OR where I grew up adventuring through the outdoors; running, skiing, hiking, biking, and backpacking with my family; who is every bit as crazy adventurous as myself. I started competing in triathlons and marathons after graduating from Gonzaga University due to needing an outlet for the tangles of life. Since then I have competed in multiple marathons and triathlons from small home town marathons like the Couer d’Alene to big time triathlons such as National Age Group Olympic Triathlon. I am currently beginning training for the Coeur d’Alene Full Ironman, my first ironman, which has been a goal of mine to complete for many years now, time to cross it off the bucket list.
When I am not training my husband, whom is most supportive of my adventures and just recently agreed to join me in running a half marathon in 2016, like to play golf and take our doodle puppy for long walks. A part of my training and racing is always dedicated to him with the hopes of promoting living a fit and healthy lifestyle to those who have type 1 diabetes; as which he has been diagnosed with for 15 years now.
Through my competing I have found a passion, and joy for not only fitness but life and it is my wish to help others to find that passion as well. Competing has allowed me to push my limits and find out the strength in me.
