In 2014 I ran a Warrior Dash which is an obstacle course race. I was constantly playing in the mud, carrying heavy sandbags and buckets, climbing ropes and walls, crawling under barbed wire and pushing myself to my limits and even going passed them. It quickly became a hobby of mine and It was giving me a reason to stay active. What was once a hobby, sparked into my passion.
By the end of 2014, I had run 13 different races. My racing career took off in 2015 when I began running in the Elite heats for Spartan Races and many other OCR companies. I started to place in the top 10 and top 5 of every race and even standing on the podium a few times. I won Gladiator Rock N Run and took 3rd place in Rugged Maniac. I also qualified for OCR World Championships and Spartan World Championships. Near the end of the year, I began running longer distances. I ran a few nighttime trail 60Ks and took home a 4th place win in one of them. I have also completed a 50-miler.
In 2016, I decided to take my love of racing to the next level and began to compete in endurance events. I’ve completed two 12-hour endurance events and a 6-hour endurance event. I got my first podium finish at a Battlefrog Obstacle course race which was created by Navy Seals. I’m constantly pushing myself past my limits and testing my mind and body. I’ve completed over 60 races including 60ks, 50-miler (ultra marathon), endurance events, obstacle course races and many others. My daughter has gotten involved in OCRs as well. She’s 4 years old and she has run 2 kids Spartan Races and 2 kids Battlefrog races. It’s important to me to be a great role model, not only for her, but for anyone out there! I absolutely love what I do and I don’t think I’ll ever stop racing! I am constantly hiking or rock climbing to help make myself a better athlete!
