Sasha has been running, competing and for enjoyment, for more than 20 years. She is a civil engineer, and is working towards her PhD in engineering education as well. Sasha competed throughout university and had given up racing competitively for years after a stress fracture brought on from over training. Fast forward over ten years, and Sasha started running with the University of Toronto again. She made a huge impact in the running world, and eventually qualified for the Pan Am games in 2015. She ran in the 1500m final, and against all odds won bronze, after having one of her shoes knocked half way off, 150m into the race! Sasha’s next goal will be making the Canadian Olympic team and heading to Rio!
