Sweat With Your Sole Event 2022 - Ultima Replenisher

Sweat With Your Sole 2022

We looooove a great cause–and hey, if that cause involves friends, fun, and breaking a sweat…count us in! That is why we are proud to announce our partnership with Black Girls Run! for their Sweat With Your Sole (SWYS) national event in Charlotte from September 9-11, 2022.

It might be obvious from the playful use of the word “sole,” but in case you didn’t pick up on that, this event was inspired and created by the souls and hearts behind the Black Girls Run! (BGR) movement. So join us, as we spread awareness on the three-day event and conference that not only focuses on celebrating health and fitness but diversity and sisterhood as well!

Sweat With Your Sole

If you’re like us, you are most likely intrigued by the event and want to learn more about what “Sweat With your Sole” is all about…don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

For the last six years, this event has been held in Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Atlanta and has continued to grow with each passing year thanks to partnerships, volunteers, word-of-mouth, and of course, social media (take a look at #SWYS). The highly anticipated event brings a unique blend of health, wellness, and diversity to local communities for women all over the country. Sure, the event revolves around the idea of participating in the 5k/10k races, but many look to it as a weekend retreat to celebrate the power of sisterhood, wellness, and the Black community.

As we mentioned, SWYS is a three-day event, and since the race isn’t until the last day, you might be wondering what the other two days are for. If you registered for this event, you are in for a treat because the first 2 days are full of workshops, keynote speakers (who provide eye-opening perspectives on fitness and wellness), and of course, hanging out with the girls! Oh, and did we mention that there will be a “Sneaker Soiree,” where participants wear their favorite dresses with a cute pair of sneakers?! Cute and comfy?…we’re in!

The full itinerary for the conference is available online. However, it is important to note that you can only attend workshops and other events (including vendor shopping) if you are registered for the entire weekend as a guest. The only event open to the entire community (yes, even men!) is the “Sneaker Soiree,” where tickets will be available to purchase.

Hydration Nation

So where does Ultima Replenisher fit in? Well, for starters, hydration is of the utmost importance when it comes to staying active, but that’s not the only reason we support this event. When it comes to health and wellness, we believe that everybody should have a community where they feel safe and supported. And that’s exactly what BGR is all about.

According to the Black Girls Run! website, the goal behind the movement was to encourage and motivate Black women to practice a healthy lifestyle. The mission states, “we want to serve as a fitness resource for runners and gym rats alike, as well as provide tips and commentary on staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But we also want to start a movement to encourage ALL women to get off the couch and get active.”

Ultima Replenisher supports this cause by encouraging women of all communities to become active and stay healthy and hydrated along the way!

As you may know, we specialize in healthy hydration and want to provide runners and participants with the tools they need to have a memorable weekend, free from dehydration.

However, we aren’t the only ones passionate about staying hydrated. BGR founder & CEO, Jay Ell Alexander, knows a thing or two about the importance of electrolytes for athletes and new runners alike. “Hydration is so important as a runner because it fuels your muscles, performance, and just overall health,” she states. “You are sweating when you’re running so it's crucial to replenish your body so you are ready to recover and get ready for that next run. Our members at Black Girls RUN! know it is important that we take care of our bodies off the pavement so we can continue to preserve the sexy on a run or even on rest days."

We are so excited to be a part of this life changing event, and we can’t wait to see everyone there. If you want to learn more about SWYS or are interested in participating as an attendee, vendor, sponsor, or spectator, visit the SWYS website for more information.
