Chia seeds as a SuperfoodChia seeds are one of the latest trends in the health food market, and for a good reason. They are a super food, loaded with omega-3 fatty acid and fiber. Protein and minerals like iron, calcium, magnesium and zinc are also present in chia seed. It is thought that they help improve cardiovascular function by assisting to lower cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure, as well as possibly helping with weight loss. Chia seeds are very easy to incorporate in your regular diet, just by adding them to your breakfast, mixing them with a juice, or creating a 'Chia Pudding'.
